The Dukes of Wellington have resided in Stratfield Saye House for over 200 years and today, the large stately home is the centre of The Wellington Estate. The house and gardens offer a unique insight into the life of the Great Duke of Wellington and are well worth a visit.
In addition to this the estate boasts 350 acres of scenic parkland, the perfect place to come to again and again; ideal for a lazy summer picnic or to don your wellingtons for a wet, winters walk.
The Wellington Farm Shop is open daily and is full to the brim with local produce (which can also be sampled at the Café), household essentials and has an award-winning butchers counter.
One thing is for sure, when you live in Riseley you will pay many a visit to the nearby The Wellington Estate.
